Critical Articles Against Sathya Sai Baba Take A Nose-dive: RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE

As one can easily notice, the number of Anti-Sai propaganda articles (put out by critics, skeptics and ex-devotees) has been steadily declining, year by year, since 2002.

  • Anti-Sai articles jumped from 284 articles in 2001 to 414 articles in 2002.
  • In 2003, Anti-Sai articles dropped 35% and fell to 268 articles.
  • In 2004, Anti-Sai articles plummeted to 119. This is a 56% decline from the previous year and a 71% decline from its high in 2002.
  • In 2005, Anti-Sai articles fell to 68, a 43% drop from the previous year.
  • In 2006, Anti-Sai articles bottomed to 55, a 19% decline from the previous year.

Facts About The Numbers Of Critical Articles Against Sathya Sai Baba: RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE

These article numbers include:

  1. Multiple and repetitive articles with different links but same content.
  2. Articles taken from other online media sources (casually referring to Sathya Sai Baba).
  3. Anonymous postings made on internet forums or discussion groups.
  4. Email correspondence pages.
  5. "Page harvesting" articles. "Page harvesting" is when one article, which is located on one page, is divided into multiple anchor-links (an "anchor-link" being ascribed to a new paragraph or section on the page, as in the case with the menu option on this page), making it appear as if there are 5-20 articles, when in fact there is only one.

Almost all of these articles (going back to 2000) deal with superficial attacks against Sathya Sai Baba and do not further any of the unsubstantiated allegations of sexual impropriety, fraud, murder, racketeering or any other sort of alleged criminal activity. Consequently, these articles are simply Anti-Sai Propaganda.

These article numbers were taken from the ExBaba "News Section", which contains all of the links (in English) to the other categories. The "News Section" also provides links to articles published on other Ant-Sai Sites and sources. Therefore, these numbers represent the totality of English Articles, published against Sathya Sai Baba, by former followers, critics, skeptics and those holding an unfavorable view about the Indian Guru.

Year 2006 In Review: RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE

At the end of 2005 I made the following predictions for 2006:

"Despite these discouraging numbers, I am sure that critics will begin to cut and paste more anonymous hate-postings from discussion groups or blogs in an effort to pick up their declining propaganda numbers. That, or they will begin duplicating pages from other Anti-Sai Sites or repeat themselves like trained parrots in a desperate attempt to make it seem as if they are getting somewhere (besides nowhere)!"

Come 2006, critics acted exactly as I predicted they would. Sixteen of the 55 articles (or 34%) are blog posts (mostly taken from Sanjay Dadlani's blog). The 2006 article count does not include nine links, which did not pertain to Sathya Sai Baba or were repetitive:

  • A "sedna blog" which was deleted.
  • A 3rd reference to Glen Meloy's death anniversary.
  • A duplicate reference to a Dutch newspaper article in English.
  • An article about two Shirdi Sai Baba devotees committing suicide.
  • An article about Jessica Lal.
  • An article about Swami Premananda.
  • Two links about the re-activated German Anti-Sai site.
  • A duplicate reference to the Secret Swami program.

Four of the articles were references to articles many years old and the overwhelming majority of the articles were simply personal attacks against Sathya Sai Baba.

2006 was an eventful year that dealt major blows to the Anti-Sai Movement, which has all but incapacitated Anti-Sai Activists and effectively brought their Anti-Sai Movement to a screeching halt. Anti-Sai Activists are now resorting to redundancy and frothing-at-the-mouth rhetoric to advance their whiny, snippy and bitter arguments against Sathya Sai Baba.

Major 2006 Developments:

The same predictions I made at the end of 2005 (for the year 2006), I will make again for the coming year of 2007. Anti-Sai Activists have become very predictable.

In Conclusion: RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE

Anti-Sai Activists are waging a lonely and losing battle against Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Because Anti-Sai Activists have made no leeway against Baba in the past six years, they have become more and more frenzied, desperate and bold in their defamations against him. Nevertheless, the objective facts speak for themselves:

  • Sathya Sai Baba has never been proven to be a "charlatan".
  • Sathya Sai Baba has never been convicted of any crime.
  • Sathya Sai Baba has never been charged with any crime.
  • Sathya Sai Baba has never had even one single complaint lodged against him by any alleged victim, first-hand, in India. As a matter of fact, not even one alleged victim has even tried to file a basic police complaint or court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India (the only place where courts would have jurisdiction over Baba as an individual defendent).

These are the cold, hard facts and no rationalist, critic, skeptic or ex-devotee can provide a scintilla of verifiable evidence to the contrary.
